VISITATION

And so the two to each other have returned

The soul knows its own,

It reaches out from within the eyes.

Born of magic, music and mystery,
A love for each other we feel.

As we age, it’s feeling real,

As each other’s heart we both do steal.

Too long away I need to sit with you awhile.

Music spills over my shoulders when we embrace,
I wish that fate was kind to leave me more than a kiss as your only trace.

For now we bathe in love and laughter but too soon you’re gone, the music fades.

Be still I tell my heart,

Be here now and to the moment cling,

This love, this memory we two are making.
Drummers drum, and flute gives flight

To my heavy soul this enchanted night.
Lifted higher by your voice, up where I belong

High atop a melody where our souls sing long.
